St Helens are without key centre Matt Gidley (torn thigh) and second rower Matty Ashurst (dislocated and broken finger) for Sunday's trip to Hull KR. Coach Mick Potter calls up young forwards Jacob Emmitt and Shaun Magennis to his 19-man squad. Back rower Magennis, 20, gets his first call after overcoming 18 months of knee injuries, along with prop Jacob, who is dual registered with Leigh.

We haven't played as well as possibly we could have in the last couple of years when we've played them and we need to do better.   -Mick Potter

Hull will once again be without skipper Sean Long when they welcome injury-hit Castleford to the KC Stadium on Friday night. Scrum-half Long is still struggling with a hamstring problem and has not been included in coach Richard Agar's 19-man squad. New recruit Jordan Turner and Richard Horne were partnered together in the half-back roles for last week's home win over Harlequins.

Hull full-back Jordan Tansey returns after being dropped for the win over Harlequins for breaching club discipline, with Sam Moa making way. Captain Sean Long remains on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. Castleford centre Kirk Dixon features for the first time this season after recovering from a blood clot.

Brett's injury is a big blow to us. He's an integral part of our team and it comes on the back of Dean and Richie's injuries. It's a real test of character for us.   -Terry Matterson

The game was tied at 10-10 midway through the second half when Hicks, who scored in Warrington's Challenge Cup final win over the Giants last August, outwitted a packed Huddersfield defence to register a fine solo effort.

Hull proved they are capable of winning without playmaker Sean Long as they got back to winning ways against a dismal Harlequins side at a freezing and rain-soaked KC Stadium. After impressive successes in their first two fixtures, Hull's bubble was burst last weekend when, without the injured Long, they were surprisingly beaten 18-16 by the Crusaders. without their skipper but, despite Long's absence and the omission of understudy Jordan Tansey for disciplinary reasons, Richard Agar's men provided the

I'm pretty keen on Leeds here. I think this has been their focus from the start of the season and as much as they have been poor, the Headingley pitch has been heavy and they've still been able to score tries. They should be at full strength bar Scott Donald, Danny Buderus has three games under his belt now and their forward pack led by Jamie Peacock will thrive in this environment in front of a home crowd.
